Abstract:
Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) technologies are many and varied, and it can be difficult for field staff to decide which are the most appropriate and affordable tool for the job at hand.
The WASH TIPs are a practical set of guidelines and tools to help you make the best choice.
Contents:
The TIPs focus on the following WASH technologies:
1. Hand pumps for drinking water
2. Boreholes and drilling equipment for rural water supply
3. Solar powered pumping
4. Motorized and small piped systems
5. Faecal sludge emptying equipment
The TIPs are presented as a single pdf file, along with a folder of linked Excel spreadsheets giving selection tools and Bills of Quantity.
