L’ONG Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Belgium (VSF-B) aide les populations locales à améliorer leur élevage et les aspects connexes tels que la gestion des ressources naturelles et le microcrédit. En 2013, Enea a mené une étude pour évaluer l’opportunité pour VSF-B d’inclure un volet sur le biogaz comme source d’énergie domestique dans son programme d’activités au Rwanda. En 2014, VSF-B a lancé le projet EVE dont l’une des composantes pilote vise à installer 100 biodigesteurs en 3 ans, chez des petits éleveurs de la province Sud du Rwanda, en délivrant de l’assistance technique et financière. A la mi-2015, Enea a mené une nouvelle étude pour VSF-B dans l’objectif d’évaluer le projet à mi-parcours, de réaliser une étude préliminaire d’impacts ainsi que d’élaborer des recommandations pour un changement d’échelle à la suite de cette phase pilote. The NGO Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Belgium(VSF-B) supportslocal populations to improve livestock keeping and otherrelatedaspects such asnatural resources managementand micro-loans. In 2013, ENEA conducted a study to assess the opportunity for VSF-B to include domestic biogas energy within its scope of activities in Rwanda. In 2014, VSF-B launched the EVE project to install100 biodigesters and provide capacity building to smallholderfarmersin Southern Rwanda within 3years. Theproject is strongly integrated to the local context, partnering with a local federa-tionof farmers, IMBARAGA, to implement the project, and leveraging the Rwandan National Domestic Biogas Program (NDBP). In mid 2015, ENEA conducted a new study to provide VSF-B with an intermediate evaluation of the project, apreliminary assessment of its impacts as well as recommendations to scale-up
