Au cours des 20 dernières années, la population des villes d'Amérique latine a doublé. Les ressources en eau des centres urbains subissent, par conséquent, une demande croissante. De Mexico à Sao Paulo, en passant par Lima et Buenos Aires, ce film examine de plus près la situation qui pose problème, là comme ailleurs dans le monde. Abstract:
Thirsty Cities looks at the problems related to water supply in Mexico City, Lima, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo--conservation, pollution and sanitation. These are great cities of Latin America with proud histories. They are different from North American and European cities, but also remarkably the same. Many of the water issues they are grappling with today are on the horizon for large cities everywhere.
