Abstract:
This is the third edition of the Benchmarking African Minigrids report. It examines developments since the previous edition published in 2022, serving as a critical resource for understanding the evolving landscape of minigrids in Africa. Furthermore, it highlights new opportunities for fostering growth and ensuring longterm sustainability, thereby equipping stakeholders with the knowledge to navigate the complexities of energy access and investment in the region.

The analysis emphasises key metrics such as capital and operating costs, revenue per user, and service quality, providing a clear picture of the sector’s health.
