Objectives: The work within GYBN aims to:
- represent the voice of youth globally in the negotiations under the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD)
- raise awareness among young people of the values of biodiversity
- connect individuals and youth organizations to build a global coalition to halt the loss of biodiversity
- inspire global youth and future leaders to work for the sustainable use and conservation of biodiversity for a healthy environment and society.
The Lebanese Youth Biodiversity Network is the Lebanese chapter of the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN) and is responsible for engaging youth in the GYBN’s activities and for also shedding light on Lebanon’s biodiversity issues to the international community to support local biodiversity protection.
