Activities: The Internationaler Bund - short IB - belongs to the bigger independent organisations in Germany committed to both youth and social work as well as to education and vocational training. Its honorary presidium presided by the former chairman of the trade union IG BAU Bruno W. Köbele includes representatives from public life, both sides of industry and labour, political parties, economic and administrative sectors.

Each year, 11,000 colleagues help 300,000 young people and adults in 700 centres of the IB located in more than 300 places all over Germany.
