Partenaires institutionnels: The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) coordinate the programme.

Description: During the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, the Dutch Government announced to provide access to sanitation and clean drinking water for 50 million people, and to modern energy services to 10 million poor people in developing countries by 2015. In order to accomplish the energy goal, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DGIS) joined forces with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The partnership called EnDev began in 2005 with the initial purpose to provide sustainable energy access to 3 million people in its first three years. Today, EnDev is an established programme, having reached well over 30 million people.
