Objectives:
* To establish a common understanding of up-to-date approaches (current trends) like community led total sanitation, environmental risk reduction, social marketing, social mobilisation, advocacy, gender equity, among others as key ingredients towards sustained hygiene and environmental sanitation behaviours
* To share knowledge and experiences on current practices in hygiene and environmental sanitation and take stock of best practices
* To improve participants' awareness and use of the various participatory methods and tools that are used and have been proven effective in hygiene and environmental sanitation promotion

* Participants will develop individual/group strategies to implement hygiene and environmental sanitation to optimise benefits from WES services
Public:
* Staff from training and resource centres who are interested in organising their own training courses in the field of hygiene promotion and environmental sanitation
* Managers and staff in development work who supervise or want to develop an understanding of and introduce Community led total sanitation programme in their projects/programmes
* School teachers and tutors responsible for hygiene, environmental sanitation education and promotion in their institutions
* Leaders and managers of community based organisations, NGOs, donor agencies, and government ministries
