* To establish a common understanding of up-to-date approaches to hygiene and ecological sanitation. * To take stock of best practices, learn from and share experiences on current practices in ecological sanitation in households, communities and institutions * To highlight the importance of integrating technical aspects with hygiene and sanitation promotion for sustained behaviour change * To improve participants' awareness and use of participatory methods that have proved effective in hygiene and ecological sanitation promotion. * To develop individual/group strategies to implement ecological sanitation to optimise benefits from closing the ecological loop |
