Objectives: |
To establish a common understanding of up-to-date approaches (current trends) to hygiene promotion and environmental sanitation, like environmental risk reduction, social marketing, social mobilisation, advocacy, gender equity, among others as key ingredients towards sustained hygiene and environmental sanitation To share knowledge and experiences on current practices in hygiene and environmental sanitation and take stock of best practices To raise awareness on the importance of integrating technical aspects of water supply and sanitation projects with hygiene and sanitation promotion for a sustained behaviour change To improve participants’ awareness and use of the various participatory methods and tools that are used and have been proven effective in hygiene and environmental sanitation promotion Participants will develop individual/group strategies to implement hygiene and environmental sanitation to optimise benefits from WES services |
