Cet article présente le « Microcrédit solaire Burkina Faso » promu dans le cadre d’un programme de la Fondation Energies pour le Monde (Fondem) qui permet l’électrification par kits solaires grâce à la microfinance. Ce programme novateur repose sur des subventions d’appariement, couvrant 40 à 50% de l’investissement, et le microcrédit. Il aide à satisfaire la demande locale en surmontant la barrière posée par les capacités de paiement limitées des clients ruraux et péri-urbains.

This article presents the “Solar Microcredit in Burkina Faso” program of the Fondation Energies pour le Monde (Fondem) which enables electrifi cation by solar kits through microfi nance. This innovative program relies on pairing subsidies, covering 40 to 50 % of the investment, and microcredit. It helps satisfy local demand by overcoming the barrier posed by the limited payment capabilities of rural and peri-urban customers. Contents:
