S'appuyant en partie sur des recherches originales menées dans le centre-ouest du Népal, cet article plaide en faveur d'une compréhension plus large de la menstruation que celle qui est actuellement présentée dans le discours dominant du développement international. En accord avec les idées émergentes tant dans le secteur des ONG que dans la littérature académique, cet article propose une définition centrée plutôt sur les droits par opposition à l'hygiène. Abstract:
Drawing in part on original research conducted in mid-western Nepal, this article argue for a broader understanding of menstruation than that which is currently presented in mainstream international development discourse. In line with emerging ideas within both the NGO sector and academic literature, this article propose a definition centred instead on rights as opposed to hygiene.
