En 2012, l’AFD a mis en place une Facilité d’innovation sectorielle pour les ONG (FISONG) sur le thème : "Assainissement, hygiène, déchets : mécanismes pérennes et compétences locales". A travers un appel à projets, cette FISONG avait vocation à susciter une large palette d’innovations, principalement dans un registre social, en s’appuyant sur la capacité d’innovation des ONG qui sont fortement impliquées sur le terrain et qui développent de nouvelles manières de faire.
Cinq projets ont été retenus au Sénégal, en Mauritanie, en Guinée, au Burundi et à Madagascar. Ils ont été mis en œuvre entre 2013 et 2017 par les ONG CARE France, CIDR, Enda Europe, Gret et PAD, mobilisant près de 3 millions d’euros dont plus de 80% financés par l’AFD.
Les principaux enseignements sont regroupés dans ce cahier de capitalisation. Abstract:
In 2012, the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) launched a Sanitation Innovation Facility (FISONG) in the field of "Sanitation, hygiene and waste: long-term mechanisms and local capabilities”. The FISONG is a call for proposals that aims to foster innovation, mainly in a social register, by tapping the innovation capacity of NGOs in the field.
Five projects were selected in Senegal, Mauritania, Guinea, Burundi and Madagascar. They were implemented between 2013 and 2017 by the NGOs CARE France, CIDR, Enda Europe, GRET and PAD, at a total cost of € 2,841,141 of which 83.45% was co-financed by AFD.
This knowledge capitalisation booklet was produced to share the lessons learnt.
