Abstract:
This video highlights the difficult working conditions of sanitation entrepreneurs in peri-urban areas and demonstrates the importance and opportunities of professionalizing the work and financing this critical business sector.
A couple of pit latrines emptyers in Nairobi, Kenya are followed around. They tell about their work and how important they are in keeping the city healthy. The problems they run into when working, but also when they are looking for financing to improve their business.
