Le développement durable des infrastructures est vital pour la prospérité de l’Afrique et la transformation qu’il implique est aujourd’hui impérative. Cet ouvrage est le fruit d’efforts sans précédent s’articulant autour du triple objectif suivant : documenter, analyser et interpréter les multiples défis que pose le développement des différents secteurs infrastructurels en Afrique subsaharienne. Il s’agit donc de la référence la plus complète disponible à ce jour sur le sujet.
De fait, le livre couvre les cinq principaux secteurs de l’infrastructure économique : les technologies de l’information et de la communication, l’irrigation, l’énergie, le transport, l’eau et l’assainissement. Abstract:
Sustainable infrastructure development is vital for Africa’s prosperity. And now is the time to begin the transformation. This volume is the culmination of an unprecedented effort to document, analyze, and interpret the full extent of the challenge in developing Sub-Saharan Africa’s infrastructure sectors. As a result, it represents the most comprehensive reference currently available on infrastructure in the region.
The book covers the five main economic infrastructure sectors: information and communication technology, irrigation, power, transport, and water and sanitation.
