Abstract:
Every Drop Matters addresses the issue of water scarcity exacerbated by climate change in Arab states. This documentary features a number of water governance pilots that the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)'s Regional Bureau for Arab States (RBAS) has been supporting in the Arab region. It presents the experiences of communities from 5 countries (Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, and Tunisia), who talk about the impact of water scarcity on their daily lives and how community-based solutions have changed their lives. The documentary also emphasizes the need to link to policy-making initiatives at the national level with efforts at the regional and global levels. Resumen:
كل قطرة مياه مهمّة (2013) يتطرّق إلى مشكلة ندرة المياه في الدول العربية والتي قد تفاقمت بفعل انعكاسات تغيّر المناخ. يعرض هذا الوثائقي بعض مشاريع إدارة المياه التي يدعمها "برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي-المكتب الإقليمي للدول العربية" في مناطق عربية مختلفة، و يسلّط الضوء على تجارب المجتمعات المحلية في كل من الأردن وفلسطين ولبنان ومصر وتونس، ويتطرّق على نحو خاص إلى تأثير ندرة المياه على الحياة اليومية للناس والتغيرات التي طرأت علىها بفعل الحلول المجتمعية. كما يركّز الوثائقي على أهمية ربط المبادرات على صعيد السياسات الوطنية بالجهود الإقليمية والعالمية.
