Many water treatment products have failed. These devices have been designed to treat water in the household in areas where the water supply is contaminated. They serve the 2 billion people who lack access to safe water, but they have not been able to scale up reach the people who need them.
In this webinar, Nikki Beetsch, in NSF International's Drinking Water Treatment Division and Daniele Lantagne, a civil & environmental engineering professor at Tufts University, will explore the issue by:
*Sharing recent advances in the field,
*Highlighting their experiences in developing these products and services, with a focus on the challenges of quality, operation and scaling.
*Addressing gaps in research, technology and supporting frameworks, such as the recent International Scheme to Evaluate Household Water Treatment.
