Abstract:
This Manual focuses on two topics which are central to SWSS implementation:
(1) sanitation technologies and
(2) Community - led Total Sanitation (CLTS)
But it also takes into account several aspects of the supportive enabling environment – the social support systems which determine the sustainability of sanitation investments. These include financial, institutional, and social systems for long-term operation and maintenance of facilities.
