Weighing the need for improved sanitation against existing household needs is crucial in communities where purchasing a toilet can require 15 percent of a family's annual income. This video describes the Total Sanitation and Sanitation Marketing project's efforts to increase consumer demands for sanitation in Indonesia by educating community members about issues such as improved health and the range sanitation options available at varying costs.
