Abstract:
This paper presents the technologies for treatment of arsenic-contaminated water, arsenic detection and measurement technologies, and alternative safe water options.
After a brief introduction (chapter 1), chapter 2 examines the principles of arsenic removal from drinking water and explores the major technologies associated with each. Chapter 3 describes the laboratory and field methods of arsenic detection and measurement. Chapter 4 presents alternative options for arsenic-safe water supplies. Chapter 5 analyzes some operational issues related to the mitigation options presented in the paper.
