Abstract:
Water markets and market mechanisms studies the current and expected social and ecological impacts of water markets within various institutional, socio-economic and legal contexts. The Working Paper also delves into whether certain market mechanisms can contribute to water markets becoming more sustainable. When the private sector passes on the social and ecological costs of water usage it can create more sustainable investor- and consumer behaviour.
