Abstract:
This easy to read handbook will guide teachers, teacher educators as well as development planners and managers of water and sanitation programmes in schools and communities. Absence of safe water, adequate functional toilets along with unnoticed and unattended problem of worm infestation in children compromises their learning ability. Proper hygiene is an important intervention to ensure regular attendance of girls, prevent drop out and positively influence their learning capabilities.
