La quatrième édition des Directives de qualité pour l'eau de boisson (DQEP) de l'Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS) s'appuie sur plus de 50 ans d'orientations de l'OMS sur la qualité de l'eau de boisson, qui ont constitué une base de référence pour l'établissement de réglementations et de normes nationales en matière de salubrité de l'eau à l'appui de la santé publique.
Il a fait l'objet d'importantes révisions visant à clarifier et préciser les moyens de mettre en œuvre les recommandations portant sur l'identification des dangers contextuels et la gestion des risques. IL est présenté commment établir des objectifs sanitaires, des plans de salubrité de l'eau ciblant toute la chaine d'approvisionnement, du captage au consommateur, ainsi qu'une surveillance de la qualité
Ce premier addendum est une mise à jour de la quatrième édition. La 4e édition du GDWQ, intégrant le 2e addendum, sera publiée d'ici la mi-2021 pour refléter, entre autres, les informations clés contenues dans ces documents de référence Abstract:
The fourth edition of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Guidelines for drinking-water quality (GDWQ) builds on over 50 years of guidance by WHO on drinking-water quality, which has formed an authoritative basis for the setting of national regulations and standards for water safety in support of public health.
It is the product of significant revisions to clarify and elaborate on ways of implementing its recommendations of contextual hazard identification and risk management, through the establishment of health-based targets, catchment-to-consumer water safety plans and independent surveillance.
This first addendum updates the fourth edition. Updates reflect new evidence and further, provides additional explanations to support better understanding and application of the guidance.
The GDWQ, 4th edition, incorporating the 2nd addendum, will be published by mid-2021 to reflect, inter alia, key information in these background documents. Contents:
