Abstract:
This book provides a clear reference to the operating principles of meters, and the way they should be managed in a water utility. It deals with all aspects of water meters and water metering in an urban supply environment. This book combines the presentation of all the theoretical principles needed to implement best practices and an applied manual, dealing with practical water meter management. It is vital to maximize the volume of water metered in the utility, at the minimum possible cost. To achieve this goal, the proper selection, management and maintenance of the meters in the utility are necessary. The book provides the information needed to reach these objectives. This book will be a valuable tool for water utility managers, engineering technical staff, operations and maintenance and meter reading personnel and researchers.
