Résumé:
Film promotionnel de l'action de Concern.
La première partie décrit bien la difficulté d'approvisionnement en eau pour les gens de l'Ile de la Gonave. Quatre heures pour se rendre à la source, et autant pour le retour chaque jour.
En construisant des citernes de stockage de l'eau, ce temps a été considérablement réduit.
La seconde partie du film montre l'engagement du chanteur irlandais Michael Londra pour la cause de Concern. Abstract:
Michael Londra is an Irish singer who performs around the world and now lives in New York. With the help of Concern’s American office, Michael went to Haiti to see some of the work being done there. He visited a number of Concern projects, which mostly focus on providing communities with clean, safe drinking water.
Michael didn’t only visit the projects though; he also tried to live the daily life of the locals. He experienced what it is like to walk many miles to and from the nearest water pump, carrying heavy water cans in intense heat. How did he get on? Watch the video below to find out, and to see how a Haitian member of Concern’s staff fared when he returned with Michael to America.
