Résumé:
Le recours aux combustibles de cuisson traditionnels a de graves conséquences sanitaires et sociales, notamment pour les femmes et les enfants. La pollution de l'air intérieur due au bois de chauffage et au charbon de bois est une cause majeure de maladies respiratoires, touchant de manière disproportionnée les femmes, qui constituent la majorité du personnel de cuisine dans les ménages et les institutions. Ce phénomène contribue également à la dégradation de l'environnement et à la déforestation. Abstract:
The reliance on traditional cooking fuels has severe health and social consequences, particularly for women and children. Indoor air pollution (IAP) from firewood and charcoal is a leading cause of respiratory diseases, disproportionately impacting women as they make up majority of kitchen staff in households and institutions while also contributing to environmental degradation and deforestation.
