Abstract:
The Implementation Report: Piloting of Treatment Solutions and Innovative Finance Models for Problematic E-Waste Fractions presents the outcomes of a project that tested practical and financial strategies for managing complex e-waste streams. Focusing on problematic fractions such as PUR foams, lithium-ion batteries, e-waste plastics, and mixed waste shipments, the project partnered with recyclers to co-develop viable treatment and financing models. This report details the implementation approach, highlights the challenges encountered, and outlines the innovative solutions piloted to strengthen sustainable e-waste management.
