Abstract: The 2022 report, which is the sixth edition, is produced by Lighting Global/ESMAP, IFC, the Efficiency for Access Coalition, GOGLA, and Open Capital Advisors. It is, for the first time split into two parts to help readers engage more deeply with the content. Evolving from previous editions of the MTR, the 2022 report will not attempt to provide an all-encompassing overview. Instead, it distills the main trends and insights and offers an in-depth analysis of developments likely to have the largest impact on the future of the off-grid market and its contribution to electricity access targets.
