Abstract:
Given the strong biological and cultural interlinkages between family planning (FP) and menstrual health (MH) , researchers and practitioners increasingly call for the integration of these interventions into more holistic Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) programs. They should in theory improve health outcomes and delivery efficiency, by allowing MH products to piggyback on more established FP channels.
Yet, very few projects have put this integration into practice and even fewer have documented their results, due to limited and siloed funding, as well as complex impact measurement across topics.
This report presents:
- The various integration models that currently exist across the world
- The successes and limitations of these projects
- Recommendations to further explore and/or leverage FP/MH synergies Contents:
