Groundwater supplies about 30% of the world's freshwater, but in many regions, it is being extracted faster than it can naturally replenish. This research highlights the need for a more integrated approach that includes sustainable groundwater management, accurate climate monitoring, and a broader understanding of the complex relationship between water resources and climate. Groundwater depletion is not only a water crisis but also a climate crisis that demands immediate and comprehensive attention.
