Résumé:
Au Bénin, le projet MuniWASH a développé un programme de renforcement des capacités pour les Micro, Petites et Moyennes Entreprises (MPMEs) constituées des prestataires privés de services d’assainissement. Ces MPMEs font la promotion des produits d’assainissement sous la marque « Mimin » ("propre » en langue fon).
Les MPMEs formées ont organisé leurs activités pour acquérir une plus grande part du marché local de l’assainissement. En multipliant le nombre de sites d’exposition, en offrant des services après-vente et en menant des campagnes de marketing social, ces MPMEs sont devenues plus actives et dynamiques auprès des clients.
Cette note d’apprentissage illustre la performance des MPMEs soutenues par MuniWASH au Bénin. Abstract:
In Benin, MuniWASH has developed a capacity building program for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), also referred to as private sanitation service providers, who promote the sanitation products branded as "Mimin toilets”1 (meaning “clean toilets” in the Fon language).
The MSMEs are adjusting their activities to try to acquire a bigger share of the household sanitation market. By increasing the number of exhibition sites, offering after-sales services, and conducting social marketing campaigns, the MSMEs have become more active in their markets.
This Learning Note illustrates the performance of MSMEs supported by MuniWASH in Benin.
