Abstract:
This note describes some recent work at IRENA to measure or estimate recent trends in off-grid renewable energy production and use. It explains how IRENA approached the challenges of data collection and the methodologies used to produce -grid energy production and use. It finishes by presenting a brief overview of the data collected so far, followed by detailed tables of the off-grid data by country, technology and year.
