Résumé:
Cette bande dessinée « Kantu, fierté pour les jeunes », est un outil de sensibilisation qui a été conçu pour bannir les fausses informations, les tabous et la stigmatisation des filles lors des menstruations. Il est destiné aussi bien aux jeunes filles qu’aux jeunes garçons ainsi qu’à toute la communauté afin de permettre à chacun de jouir de leur droit à l’information sur la menstruation comme un sujet de droit à la sante sexuelle de la reproduction. Abstract:
Many girls miss school and prefer to stay at home, as menstruation is often perceived as impure, dirty or a curse. By the time girls reach puberty, they have very little knowledge of the subject and are often ashamed of the changes taking place in their bodies. Most of the reasons given to justify the silence surrounding this subject keep women and girls within a restrictive and discriminatory framework, with the result that menstruation is considered a taboo subject, a curse, a shame, a subject of stress and a psychological challenge for women and girls.
This comic strip aims to break the taboos against menstruation and make menstruation a subject of right to health, education and equality in schools.
