Teacher's Resource Pack

document pédagogique écrit , site internet Jan 2003 ; 14 pages
Téléchargeable chez l'éditeur
Abstract:
a 48-page pack awash with ideas on how to teach children in primary schools about water. The pack is issued as part of our ongoing support for education within our supply area.

It has been specially designed to help teachers present the diverse topic of water to pupils in the 7-11 years age-range (Key Stage 2) and has been produced to comply with national curriculum and QCA requirements for the study of water. Topics covered include water treatment, the water cycle, water usage and conservation, changing forms of water, investigating rocks, water safety, and water pollution.

Our fun characters "Flo and Squirt", who have proved popular with pupils on tour visits, feature on many of the pages. Designed as a series of information guides and worksheets, which can be easily photocopied for use in lessons, the packs are provided free.

A .PDF file containing a small subset of pages from the full "Water Resources for Teachers" pack has been created for our Fun Zone. This file is made available free of charge to all of our web site visitors and will give teachers a small sample of what's available in the full pack.
